"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not recieved mercy, but now you have recieved mercy." -- 1 Peter 2:9-10

The Tale of Sunday, April 29th
There's a lot here, so bare with me...
This Sunday will be a super hang out day. Right after church, we'll load up in various automobiles and head out to our house in Montgomery. We'll have lunch, hang out, play some games, etc.
At about 5:00, we'll head to Fellowship of Montgomery (on FM 149) to watch Beware of Christians, a documentary about what it takes to truly follow Jesus. The cast will be there afterward to answer questions. (If you want to view the trailer, go to the previous post and watch it here)
So, for automobile arrangements and for food arrangements, I need to know if you're going to come by Friday. Talk to the parental units, get the clearance and let me know. I'll need to buy food n' stuff. If you'll need a ride, let me know. If you have a car or will be catching a ride with someone who does have a car, let me know anyways.
For those whose parents will pick them up at FoM afterward, I assume it'll be over by 8 or 8:30 (but I'll double check to confirm and let you know if you need to).
So, let me know 1. If you're coming to our house for lunch and 2. If you'll need a ride or if you'll be driving yourself by FRIDAY!
For those of you going to camp...more to come.
That's immediate and what I need to know now.
Remember who you are.

Several Things...
Ok...several things to get to and questions to ask:
1. I'm trying to put together a mission trip for the summer. It'll be during the second full week of June (10-16) probably during the work week. We'll be going to Missouri to help a church plant called The Table on C Street. We'll be working with a homeless shelter and with urban development and helping the church build relationships within the downtown area of Springfield. No cost yet, but there will be more information to follow. We'll talk about it more this Sunday and I'll begin to gather who's interested in going. It will be open to the rest of the church as well.
2. We have an opportunity to go see OctoberBaby. I haven't set a date yet, but if you would like to go some time, let me know soon. We have a family who's willing to pay for us to go, we just need to jump on it and go. It's a decent movie. While the focus seems to be about abortion, there is an even stronger emphasis on the power of forgiveness.
3. Fellowship of Montgomery will be showing a new documentary called Beware of Christians. On the evening of April 29. We have been invited. I still need to get with their youth minister to check on some things, but it sounds like a fun opportunity. The documentary is about a group of college students who felt that their "church routine" was becoming stale. So, they set out to find out what it means to follow Jesus. The documentary will be shown and the cast will be there for a Q & A session afterward.
Let me know what of these, if any you'll be interested in. There will be more info to come on all of these.
As always, Remember Who You Are!
